yahoo's australian auction site shuts down

Filed in archive Venture Capital by tj on August 9, 2003

Another incredible support for eBaylinks comes from Australia. While eBay is going shopping in 'Emergent Markets' , competition is loosing ground in developed markets. Yahoo had to face reality as it could not turn the numbers black with their auction site. We all know the theory of reaching a critical mass, but how eBay is consolidating the market is still very impressive to me.
