John Gott, who jumpstarted his Internet business with the right domain years ago, acquired two domains wiki.com and
Always on the go - Aaron Fulkerson, COO and co-founder of Mindtouch heard about the deal. Mindtouch makes neat, easy-to-install hosted Wiki's. So wiki.com would be the perfect combination for the company. So he simply grabbed the phone and called John Gott.
Reportedly John found the number on the backside of his foot and got reminded of calling Aaron. Aaron tried to investigate what his plans where - none in particular was the honest answer. Why not install Mindtouch's ASP wiki's and see what happens?
John agreed and Mindtouch offered John a revenue share deal. Days later wiki.com was live and first registrations for wikis where coming in. Thousands ave followed since August and both sides appear to be pretty happy with the deal.
Sometimes it only takes only one call to shape a company's fortunes....
