Monday was the second (or third) meeting of Silicon Valley's Webmonday. It was the first one that I attended (shame on me).

The crowd of about 40 people met at Cooley Godward Kronish's headquarters in Palo Alto. The event was down to earth and a healthy mix of Germans/ Americans.

Presentations came from:

- dawanda.de via a remote connection from Germany that worked surprisingly stable
- spreadshirt.de via CEO Lukasz Gadowski, who gave us a pretty interesting insight into what is going on in Germany's entrepreneurial ecosphere right now
- regis24.de presented the case for their no financing-required-multi-million-euro company. Max and the team have built an impressive business intelligence empire in a wildly forgotten niche between German companies and Germany's bureaucracy
- a final presentation by William Jolitz (Thanks Lukasz for helping my memory!) about why size matters (in startups that is) and why youtube simply had it so much easier as it played big

All in all it was a better one of Silicon Valley after work mixers. Great people from Germany, who attended (mostly because of the upcoming Web 2.0 conference) ad a good crowd of Silicon VAlley natives. Small but beautiful event - looking forward to the next one, which shall happen in February.
