I am a post docteral fellow working in the field of nanomaterials for the last 7 years. I happend to see there claims and some of there mails. I really suspect them for claiming that these revolutionary ideas, which are still a dream for scientific community, are being realised and patented in their name. I could not find any articles or information regarding these patents any where in the scientific network I have some thing to say to the so called friends who are backing these young doctors. Have you ever asked them about their work or tried to understand a bit of it? I appreciate them for giving the idea of a nanotechnology centre to government. But if they just grab the control of 1billion rupees and at the end of the day it turns out to be a fraud it will affect the scientific community. People will loose faith in the scientific community and you medical doctors will loose the pride you have now in the society. So think seriously about them and investigate about them and their work, as a responsible citizen before backing them blindly. If they are genuine 100 million people will be there to back their ambition! I am writing this because I don’t want to be seen as one of the fool malayalees by people of other state. Their scientific claims should be examined by eminent scientists of India who are working in this field for several years like Prof. C N R Rao.

I love dreams. There is a saying ..' it may be those who do most...dream most'. And hats off to C.M. for promoting such advanced research technolgies. It is clear that we need to to have our own research labs for such high end technologies...time to stop waiting for ideas from west and implementing it here. But, at the same time when we announce such projects it is mandatory to have discussions with experts in this area.The I.A.S crew, who steers the goverment, can be treated as 'Idiots in All Subjects' if they cause fincancial burden to the state without appropriate consultations. The doctor duo also has the resposibilty to discuss their ideas openly and convince the scientific community.
