TV Innovations

Filed in archive by tj on July 1, 2003

No, no TIVO isn't due to be released in Europe so fast, but there have been two nice ideaslinks around in the last days.

Anders Jacobsen writes about a device that 'beams' recorded TV programs on a Linux box around the planet called tvbrick.

Gotuit brings two different ideas in the game. First he promotes the usage of indexes for digital programs to enable users to skip to highlights of a show. Second it enables you with another product to store radio audio files listen to them in your car.
There has been another major release of radio recorders some weeks ago in US. I don't know if this will be a hit. But if he succeeds with indexing it could be a big win for bored viewers.
