That's first time I hear about Mr. Clayton Christensen. His idea is compelling.
"When the level of technological progress is far above what customers actually need and can use, the phenomena of overshooting creates the opportunity for an upstart to come in with something that's cheaper, simpler and good enough for a set of customers who don't need the advanced functionalities."


He predicts in a recent interview the next big company running into trouble. Guess who before reading, it's not too difficult. For more just have a look into his book and tell me if he's right.
