the drop-off business

Somehow I don't get this drop-off business. I was surprised to see Auctiondrop raising huge amounts and winning sveral awards (such as the AO one). I mean let's face it - it's a pure service business where your only sclae it to open more branches that might be franchised and participate in the product boom.

Now the German clone dropshop.de is reported to have raised EUR 9 (!) million in series A! The team is composed of ex-amazon executives. Never throw bad money after good one - or was it the opposite ???
