I learned from the NYT article that I have to be more patient with the breakthrough of Distributed computinglinks. The article outlines the establishment of standards such as "GRAM (Globus resource allocation manager), M.D.S. (monitoring and discovery service), G.S.I. (grid security infrastructure) and GridFTP (grid file transfer protocol)".

One of the issues is still to deal with slow connections in a distributed environment and break down the workload to share these packages of data most efficiently.
