Syndicate - a good industry event

The 'usual suspects' of the RSS space are all in here:
- Attensa fresh with liquidity from their second round. Attensa looks pretty similar to Newsgator. A cool RSS Reader which can instantly publish as well to a site with a XML-RPC. But I'm really not sure what the fuzz is all about. There must be more in the company's lab. They tell that RSS investors screened 600 business plans before investing into Attensa.
- Yahoo is shelling out a Premium sponsorship on their RSS advertising product for publishers- Pheedo the veteran of RSS CPC advertising is showing some of their new prototypes - now real news there
- Ross alerts me that Alexa has opened up their API and their server space to build your own search tools - Amazing move.
- Freerange is showcasing its very slick mobile RSS reader. It has a lot of logic inside to deal with abbreviated feeds, pictures and more. It works on all Java enabled cell phones
- KnowNow showcases an enterprise RSS server that sits inside your firewall and manages content distribution within your organization. It has all the tools you would expect from a state-of-the-art RSS reader (all web based). Additionally it supports user groups, authentification, encryption and much more. Looks all pretty slicks but only makes sense if a company has already adopted a blogging/ RSS based content distribution scenario. KnowNow has some interesting clients but the whole space still might need a bit of time.
