students as entrepreneurs

Filed in archive Entrepreneurship by tj on December 08, 2003

TEG - The Entrepreneurial Group based in Munich and Berlinlinks, Germany recently announced figures of entrepreneurial activity among students. According to the study (pdf, in German only) only a mere 6% of students are planning to set up their own company after examination. 97% of the people asked would base their decision due to a breaking opportunity for a new venture, just 3% would follow a need based founding. Most students asked, prefer a venture financing (32%) but also see their family & friends as a source for first investments (23%).

These are not very encouraging figures....
