social software less en vogue?
Filed in archive Technology on February 1, 2004
Wired has a nice report about the backlash of social software Buzz:
"Doctorow said his early curiosity about networking services is long gone as it becomes clear that the systems are not, in fact, very good networking tools.
Unlike most of their users, Doctorow said he's not in the market for a date or a job, and thus his tolerance is gone for the kind of interactions they engender.
"People who don't know each other very well are trying to develop fast and facile friendships," he said. "It's really, really ironic that software for automating social processes is making interactions worse."
