Raising Money for Your Start-Up
Filed in archive Entrepreneurship by Greg Cruey on July 13, 2009
VentureBeat had a piece earlier this month on fundraising: Startup Fundraising 101. The author, Bernard Moon, has been through three startups now.

The piece is an interesting, fairly personal account of what's involved in getting cash for a startup. And it comes complete with presentation slides. It's sage advice...
Obviously, startup costs vary greatly depending on industry. Just remember to have enough runway to raise your next round and not lose momentum. Also, expect unexpected costs. Adding a 30 percent buffer to your financial projection can be a lifesaver.
The piece is worth reading.
