predictions for 2005

Ok here we go with the ones for 2005 although a little late:

• Mobile will be an ever increasing topic. There will be less investments in the mobile gaming area but more in content delivery infrastructure (i.e. Exitgames, WUF).


• Advertising Technology - Fastclick.com will not be the only Advertising Solution Provider to go IPO in 2005


• In general 50% more IPO's in the US then in 2004


• Media investments - I have expressed this here several times - publishing will be reshaped in the next years - not only through blogging but more technology that provides related (=interesting) content at your fingertips.


• China will see a bust of the investment bubble


• Germany's Venture Capital/ IPO market will not see new impulses in 2005


• More and More Software on Demand solutions will quietly become state-of-the-art


• We will see the next investment rush with intense competition between VCs (although I have no great idea which area that will be)


• Skype will put the VoIP crowd into fears
