new wireless standard gets 'certificate' from Intel
Filed in archive by tj on July 11, 2003
intel has announced a non exclusive partnership with Alvarion. It's an interesting new development as Intel certifies the ability of WiMax as the new wireless broadband standard. It's not a WLAN replacement as it will usually be the last mile product for ISPs, but features the capability to deliver 70 MBit/s.
