new ways of typing

Having the pain of typing with a pen on my iPAQ every day I researched a bit, what could solve the issue.

MyOrigo has announced some time back MyDevice that uses tilting combined with a touch screen display for simple inputs.

Another idea is a device suspiciously named Gummi that uses a flat display, which can be fully twisted and flexed.

Finally the virtual keyboard should hit markets in Q3/ 2003. Canesta one of the future suppliers, which secured over USD 20 mio. seems like a good alternative if there is something underneath to type on.

Btw for German speaking readers, is it possible that the renowned FAZ is silently copying. from Gizmodo, isn't it?
