movie IPO
Filed in archive Entrepreneurship by tj on November 21, 2003
Rob is reporting about one of the first IPOs for movies prior to producing. Civilian has developed a marketplace for movies. I think it's really time that the industry comes up with alternate financing alternatives. Ultimately it would be an alternative to the actual distribution model. What about this: Kazaa is selling shares of Matrix IV for $ 15. Shareholders will have a upfront delivery once the movie is finished and will share the success of any other sales activities with the producer. Maybe this could evolve in a working solution using file sharing as a model?
