The NYT has an interesting story about the pensioner start-up - RFco.
"The ideal would be able to handle the main cell phone transmission formats, Global System for Mobile Communications GSM) and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), as well as the wireless Internet access format Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a short-range wireless format to easily share data between a phone and a computer. And to do all that on a single Chip, offering seamless communication."I wasn't thinking that such a chip would be that though to engineer, but RFco does not expect products making use of their design before 2005.
