Kineto has received USD 24 mio. some weeks ago. Kineto aims to equip mobile operator with a WLAN authorization, allowing users to roam from hotspot to hotspot and use the higher QoS from WLAN instead of 2.5 or 3G. This is a clever approach as it allows customers to get the best out of both worlds.
The only constrain is the low adoption of WLAN capabilities for mobile phones as of now. Several models have come out, but practical use was rather limited. But this could change now...
