Eran has send in some doubts about the Matchnet figures used by VentureWire. And indeed they do not match (emphasis added) with the recent report from Matchnet itself.

MatchNet has this Third Quarter Report with main figures such as:

- Net Revenues of USD 48 million until the end September 2004 (87% increase)
- OPEX at USD 58 million until the end of September 2004 (97% increase)
- Net loss of USD 10.1 million
- Cash at USD 7.0 million

I predicted some 40 million in revenues for 2004 but the company might well end up with USD 60+ million for 2004. Seems like the company is running on losses for 2004 and will only be postive if it spends much less on marketing.

However the market cap has shot up to USD 128 million as of today. Seems shareholders are not uneasy at all about the mounting losses...
