The German magazine 'Wirtschaftswoche' has sponsored a survey (sorry for so much German content today) about the competitiveness of German managers. Not surprisingly they score good in industries like automotive or life science (i.e. Merck) but fail in retail. Interestingly the story rightly analyzes German managers know too much details and tend to loose to strategic overview due to perfection of details. Well I can't refuse this totally....
