Lehman Brothers raises USD 300 mio. VC fund

Filed in archive Venture Capital by tj on October 15, 2003

Lehman Brothers has successfully raised a 300 mio. VC fund . The fund will target mid- to later-stage venture capital investments in companies capable of turning innovative technology solutions into successful businesses (mainly in US). Investors in the fund include the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board , the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System, Lehman Brothers and Lehman Brothers' employees.Given the financial performance of most VC funds in the last 2 1/2 years this is a respectable amount. It supports my argument that the worst time is right behind us.
