"Intent MediaWorks, an atlanta-based distributor of content over peer-to-peer file-sharing networks, believes that consumers shouldn't have to either pay or face legal trouble for the music and video content they download over peer-to-peer networks. So the technology company presented some major labels with a radical proposal: Let consumers download their clients' music for free, in exchange for receiving ads targeted by their file-sharing behavior.As often mentioned before I'm a big believer in smart content/advertsing matching technology and I think that these plays together with powerful personalisation technology enable new revenue and business models. It's awesome that they're actually thinking about changing what they said. Plus, i feel sorry for those kids who didn't know what they were getting into when they did it illegaly.

I do not think they will ever go for that. They had market and priced themself out of it. Now they are trying to get people to buy cds again. Hey try selling them at reasonable price maybe people will buy them.
