According to Daniel Primack, Kayak.com has raised a Series B:

"Kayak Software Corp., a Stanford, Conn.-based comparison shopping website for travelers, has raised around $2.97 million in Series B-1 funding, according to a regulatory filing. Return backers include General Catalyst and Sequoia Capital."

Word is out that Kayak is burning quite some money each month to support the staggering interface changes and feature additions the company did recently. Indeed it seems it has now an equally stunning AJAX interface as Sidestep. The Kayak founders are surely not having too many worries about being watered down by the recent round given their background.

Meanwhile mobissimo.com backed by Cambrian Ventures, Index Ventures, and Benhamou Global Ventures just announced their launch in India. India is quickly becoming Mobissimo's second biggest market. Rumors say that Mobissimo is profitable with a crew of 10 people - probably doing something between 500k to 1.5 million in yearly revenue.

Kayak and Sidsestep lead the pack in terms of traffic - although it seems Mobissimo is more careful producing an ROI for the investors:
