instant music recording

Filed in archive Technology by tj on May 3, 2004

I somehow thin we had this story before - recording music instantly while a concertlinks last but I couldn't find it. Now the NYT writes about Mr. Griner who just received a first patent on it:

"Mr. Griner and his brother, James, have received the first patent for "creating digital recordings of live performances." Their process uses microphones, recording and audio mixing hardware and software, CD burners and a method of executing the recording and burning process to make it unique."
Similarly the Houston Chronicle and Wired have a story about keychains that are offered just after a performance.
