Akonix a provider of enterprise security tools has finalized a second round with $11 million. Nothing special you might say, but Akonix has very innovative product, a security tool managing instant messaging traffic. IM has become a much liked application for office workers but also a nuisance for IT administrators due to countless security leaks. Akonix offers a gateway product with a wide range of functionalities. (Disclosure: I do not benefit from the sales, I just like the product.-)
