Easy to predict - more Open Source Enterprise Software companies attract large investments. We had given it some thoughts here. IT Ground Work has closed a $8.5 million round with Mayfield and Canaan Partners. The company is having a great pitch:
"GroundWork's open source IT infrastructure monitoring solution delivers enterprise-class availability and performance for a fraction of the cost of commercial alternatives.
Based on powerful open source software such as Nagios, Jetspeed and MySQL, Groundwork Monitor is a complete and practical solution for today's mission-critical IT infrastructures."
After so many enterprise open source software investments recently I tend to worry if open source developers stick to the project. After all tehy do the work that one company makes a (hopefully) a fortune of.
Based on powerful open source software such as Nagios, Jetspeed and MySQL, Groundwork Monitor is a complete and practical solution for today's mission-critical IT infrastructures."
