German VC investments Q1&Q2/2003

The German Venture Capital Association has published statistics for the first half of 2003.
The gross investments have been EUR 420.4 mio. More than 59% of this have been buy-out transactions. Early stage investments have sprung up by 20.5% to EUR 84.0 mio.
Within both quarters 14 seed investments with EUR 16.7 mio. in volume could be achieved. 226 investment rounds in German start-ups from association
members accounted for EUR 138.66 mio.
