VentureWire reports about Orb Networks that just secured US$ 4 million in Series A from Morgenthaler Ventures.

Orb Networks helps you to stream the content you are having in your private environment (music, photos, video, TV) to any device in the world. You can access it just with a web browser. Neat idea but there are two questions that Arise to me: 1) What about copyrights? Is it perfectly safe to stream the content to any device in such a manner? 2) Who in the world has an outgoing pipe big enough to stream video from his home (most ADSL or cable connections are pretty slow in upload). Besides that it's a nice contribution into the emerging market of clever streaming solutions and it's low priced at US$ 9.99 per month
