Fatlens display their new shopping categories. They mostly had event tickets before but it also features clothing right now. Looks pretty helpful - definitely worth a try.

SimplyHired

SimplyHired is a part of the new breed of vertical search sites. Indeed is one of an extremely similar looking site. SimplyHired has more features and is the Kayak for Job Search.

I have no doubt this will become a profitable venture as getting all the feeds is relatively easy (especially compared to travel sites) as most job boards are happy about the traffic. Monetization via Sponsored Search is also a no-brainer.

Very cool and simple business model!

LocalMatters

Local Search is an old hat that was destined to get off for some years now. LocalMatters has a new demo up here that provides some cool features that Google or Yahoo do not provide. Localmatters provides technology for others - they do not have an own portal as it seems.

Smarteragent

Smarter Agent is a Location Based Service for Real Estate. So wherever you are you can search on your cell which houses are for sales and what properties a house might have.

Not sure who needs that - a very rarely drive around searching for real estate to buy. You usually search at home in neighborhoods you like and screen the offers then.

Barracuda

Barracuda has an IM Firewall that is being demoed here. IM has been quite a pain for system administrators - guess they are not alone with such a product but looks good to me. Barracuda has sold a lot of AntiVirus and AntiSpyware racks so no doubt this product will get into companies quickly.

Kenai

Kenai provides a host of security tools for web services. Web services have now finally taken hold. No doubt this will sell.
