DDos Attacks

I just wrote about the spam like nature trackback has become. As is someone wanted to prove it - we had a our first Ddos attack here. A spammer was sending a couple of thousand parallel trackback requests that gave almost all other processes a halt.
Also this popular German site 'heise' has been hit by an ongoing Ddos attack. And heise is made be geeks....

Insightful article about what those persons executing those spamming attacks think and how they operate. It won't help you with your trackback problem, but at least it is a way to learn how to prevent trackback spam by 'learning from the enemy and its methods'.
