Scoopt is coming up with a syndication service that collects info from digital camera users around the world in order to sell it to the press and let users participate into it:

I would not bet on the chances of such a service - first it needs huge visibility in order to catch real scoops and second it needs to act very fast sorting out the needle in the haystack.
