blogging for free on blogger.com?

Filed in archive Venture Capital by tj on September 11, 2003

The Google subsidiary has decided to crush the subscription fee for the Blogger Pro product. This comes a bit as a surprise as Typepad has recently launched a stunningly successful subscription-based model.
"Google has lots of computers and bandwidthlinks. And Google believes blogs are important and good for the web. This is a good thing. So we're in the fortunate position of being able to give back to our users."

It sounds a bit like a farewell message from so many others, but apparently the full service shall remain.
