Being a little crazy

Barry J. Moltz was so kind to send me his newest book for review and I really loved to dive through 'You need to be a little crazy'. Barry is by himself a little crazy as he moved from IBM into several startups and is now more often an investor than an entrepreneur.
Barry takes on the emotional side of being an entrepreneur. He describes what it feels to loose your company and start over with the next although being in desperate need of money having a newborn and a wife to support.
He covers some basic rules every entrepreneur has to learn like to be humble, be (but not too open) open to new ideas, engaging with business partners and how to avoid the typical dotcom failures.
Some of them might not be news to you and especially the beginning of the book is sometimes a bit on the common sense side. But hang on after page 75 and things improve as Barry mixes lessons learned with personal examples what happened to him.
All in all his book is a nice resource for aspiring and entrepreneurs in the field. It provides lessons you have to learn but you may anyway need 'to feel it by yourself' to really incorporate it into your personal behavior. Buy it in JFK and come out of the plane in SFO with much to think of.
