A usual pain for start-ups and many SMEs as they are scattered around the world and also very cost conscious is collaboration between employees. Email helps a lot but often you want to do more like common meeting planner, common documents archive, basic CRM, web conferences. You either need a smart geek building it up with some php or a good investment into an intranet server for your company. Or you could just go to Intranets.com that has a hosted suit of application usually fitting for most corporate customers. So no hardware, no customizing just using a pre-packaged tool.

The company got a US$20 million infusion in 1999 and has used the money well since. It now features 7,500 customers and 200,000 users (seats) worldwide.
