Jeff Hawkins " on Intelligence"
I just finished Jeff Hawkins widely reviwed book "on Intelligence". In the
book Jeff presents hos framework on how intelligent machines can be built in
future. Jeff suggest a totally new approach on how the brain works and how
it made us humans smart. He basically drafts a new feedback prediction
frameworks that helps us to naviagte the orld with our neocortex.
The book is eitehr written b a genius or a lost scientist - only time will
tell. Although I have also eaten many books about th brain and how it works
before it is hard to judge for my as a not neuroscientist how much value his
new theory is feasible. However his thoughts provide an elegant and simple
solution and reading the book you say - why has nobody got that earlier.
Intelligent machines mean really sef learning machines that can work with an
invariant memory (that is things have not to be perefct to be recognized)
might be a great help in near future. Once they are trained they can act
humanlike and learn with the challenge.
